IDOWU AND MUNACHI SET NEW RECORD AT COWBELLPEDIA MATHEMATICS QUIZ COMPETITION
The 2016 and 2017 editions of the Cowbellpedia Mathematics quiz competitions witnessed consecutive record setting and breaking as the 13 year old daughter of a Mathematics teacher, Oluwatumise Idowu, went on to beat the fifteen-questions-per-minute record set in 2015 by Ayodeji Akinkuowo of Adeyemi Demonstration college when she successfully answered a total of 17 questions in one minute at the competition. Idowu, a student of Scholars Universal Secondary School, Ota, Ogun State, said she spends four hours practicing Mathematics everyday.
Also, Ernest-Eze Munachi, winner of 2015 edition of Cowbellpedia Mathematics Competition for junior category, emerged again as winner of the 2017 edition of the competition for senior category. A feat next to none since the inception of the competitions. The 16-year old student of Loyola Jesuit school, Abuja, currently holds the bragging right as two times Nigeria's Mathematics champion for 2015 and 2017, junior and senior categories respectively.
Many thanks to Promasidor, organisers of this competitions for an amazing work in projecting Maths brains and restoring hope for the education system in Nigeria.
